Learning Dvorak at 10

My oldest daughter will be 10 this year, so it’s time for her to learn how to touch type*.
I recently started learning the Dvorak layout, and I couldn’t possibly introduce her to QWERTY, QWERTZ or any of their variations, so here she is, training to Dvorak on “das Keyboard” in Mavis Beacon, which I found out is better than Master Key. ( Because it puts the emphasis on accuracy before speed and introduces all keys quicker, which then allows you to practice in the real world, instead of asking you to type fast while still limited to 8 or 10 letters, which delays the introduction of the next ones ).
* I totally made up that rule, but hey, how do you know when it’s time to learn?

  1. Came up here after reading a WordPress blog & wanted to check if you were actually smoking a cigar in your pic – but ended up with sad news about your cat – sorry to hear it – I’m sure you gave her a wonderful life in return for the fish she gave you?
    all the best
