Building a New Home for my Photos

Day 4/90

My friend Luca once told me that if I wanted to make real progress with my photography, I needed to stop taking photos randomly and instead work on series.

It makes a lot of sense. By focusing on specific projects, photography becomes more intentional. Consequently, one ends up more often in similar situations where mistakes from the past can be fixed and improved.

While I have been trying to follow his advice, I also kept posting my photos here on the blog one by one.

Taking advantage of having some free time on my hands, I decided to showcase the few series I have worked on over the past couple of years.

They are all sub-series of a larger project called "People of Vienna."

I just have a first draft that I just put together, but I'd love to hear your feedback if you can visit it.

The first series is "Focus" and is visible here.

Something about the b&w adds a nostalgic feeling to your work. I think this series is a winner. The cell phone has replaced human interaction and along with people wearing masks, really adds to capturing the time in which we live. BTW, I’ve been following you for years. This series is by far my favorite.
Thank you so much for the very kind words. 🙂
