Two years ago, I decided to only publish black and white photos for a while.

It's still my preferred style, and I expect most of my photos will remain grayscale, but I decided to drop the artificial constraint.

There are enough forces in the world trying to limit our freedom that I don't think I need to add extra arbitrary and self-imposed limits to my mind.

Sometimes I'll like the color version of a photo better, and that's what I'll publish. Once in a while, like today, I'll hesitate between the two and offer them to you for comparison.

For those black & white maximalists around here, I have a new Tumblr at monochrome.blog, where I only publish a limited collection of b&w photos.
