Wait for a traffic light to turn green before crossing the Ring.
Wait alongside strangers.
Wait at night with your bae.
All those years, waiting alone...

Eventually, you'll have to wait underground before getting back into the spotlight.
When you don't feel like waiting alone in line for a coffee, tea, or a krapfen, you can bring a friend along in your backpack.
Or maybe the panda means you are waiting for your family.
Who knows?
Wait for a bus while talking to a friend.
Or just wait for a friend.
The city knows you'll have to wait, so it has benches. To get some rest when walking is hard, to take a breather when the mask itches, or to catch up with the news basking in the sunshine.
Sometimes you just want to wait for some time to pass while watching life unroll around you.
Benches don't mind why you wait.
Wait in the belly of the city, on the edge of obscurity, for the first subway ride to the rest of your destiny.
